Sefydlwyd Democratiaid Rhyddfrydol Cymru ym 1988 ar ôl uno'r Blaid Ryddfrydol a Phlaid y Democratiaid Cymdeithasol.

Yn wahanol i bleidiau eraill, rydym yn sefydliad democrataidd sy’n golygu mai’r aelodau sy'n penderfynu ar ein polisïau, ethol ein harweinydd, ac ati.

Mae ein pleidiau lleol yn annibynnol ac yn gweithio'n galed yn eu cymunedau. Maent yn rhoi llais i bobl leol a’r cyfle iddynt benderfynu sut mae eu cymdogaethau'n cael eu rhedeg.

Rydym hefyd yn rhan o deulu ehangach y Democratiaid Rhyddfrydol sy’n cynnwys pleidiau rhanbarthol yn Lloegr a Democratiaid Rhyddfrydol yr Alban.
